Falcor: Ahhh...a revival eh? But I thought so many people weren't happy with this flaunting of our monies...Ha!

Well for my part, I am bidding on several items now online at Sothebys. If I win them both, then they will be in the $2000 price tag....

falcor 12-09-2001 09:25 AM

who gives a shit? it was a fun thread.
dare i ask, what are you bidding on?

12-09-2001 09:32 AM

Actually, if I win the bids...they will definitely be around $2500, considering commission. But I also need to address counter bids...so I am looking at $3000. max.

But here, this is what I am bidding on:

I don't have any. What little I make ends up in book purchases. I live for books. I put it above eating...

I mean I set enough aside to live comfortably, but every time I get paid for a small job, they go towards my passion.

falcor 12-09-2001 09:37 AM

yes money is stupid. but look at all the cool toys you can get with it.

good luck saving! it's a new concept for me...

Shaw, you biter. :) Likewise on the good luck, I was telling my friend how I would be better off w/a piggy bank since it lacks ATM access. However, the sheer fact of having a pig eyes mocking me in my room is rather frightening.

Yep. I picked this up yesterday.
It's OK. Like the Neil Gaiman Sandman collaboration. Greg Rucka does the story. I have yet the need to take a dump to read this. Amano's work has been slipping ever since he launched that ridiculous THINK LIKE AMANO campaign here in New York.

His covers are nice. When he puts effort into the projects:

still sounds interesting..ive been meaning to catch up on Xmen now..it seems like theyve been taking the series in a more serious direction lately

I haven't followed Marvel comics for a while now....But if they get their act together, I just might get into them. I'm mostly Vertigo and Frank Miller. And the alternative stuff...
