Blogger changes

i'm no expert in code, but recently Blogger changed the code when you post a photo. It's something I tried to scan on the internet, and found very little info. Maybe it doesn't affect anything, but in the end, it may affect some of you out there.

It looks like this. Why the heck did they decide to add this line of code in the last one week?

width: 306px; height: 400px;

Basically, it was fine without it, and now it's in there... it does cause a problem with us for sure.

7Under.net

I'm not exactly sure how this all happened, but I guess sometimes, things happen. I get an email from some folks, and they seem really nice, and I met up with them. It has nothing to do with 7-Under or Kiks, but it's all from friends of friends of friends, or maybe it's friends and acquaintances. But the world works in odd ways, we all know that, and some how I hooked up with these fine fellas. I wish I could read Japanese better. I can spend hours on it and see exactly what everything everywhere says, but for right now, I'll trust, I did at least okay... But then I look on the site under people. Whoa, there I am. And they had me write a little something about furniture, and that's what everyone did. I can't remember exactly what I wrote since I typed it and fired it off, but here it is online on my own spot. And yes, that's Yonehara in the upper left, one in, next to Topa. Check out 7Under.net

magazines 2.0

Today I used Yahoo Live video to speak to a class in Canada. Pretty interesting how 20 people can actually login via one webcam in the class, and they can just watch it all. I took questions, and they waved a few times to the other guests who joined. In all about 40 came to this special session, and it shows what you can do with Yahoo Live!

If you join my twitter, I usually post when I'm going on.

UNIQLOCK

So you might have noticed that little clock thing on the right side of the blog. It's a clock in 24 hour time, and it's set to PST. The video is neat, at different times of the day it does different things. Last night, it had some girl sleeping. Of course, it has some advertising type of connotations and it'll be up for a bit, until either I get tired of it, or you get tired of it, but for now, it's pretty cool. This is UNIQLO's second series of UNIQLOCK. Have a blog? Maybe put it on? The ladies in the videos are wearing outfits from the upcoming season. There's an alarm function version, and I don't know how to use that yet, but figure it out and tell me! The music is actually fun, and changes as well. Turn mine up, I chose to start it off to keep your bandwidth healthy.

Hypebeast 2

Mr Jimmy asks: how bizarre. Is hypebeast going in a different direction now or are you? or neither... Were you initially reluctant? Where's the synergy?

I looked at this and thought... hmm. Interesting viewpoint. I didn't feel anything odd about it. It just felt like a normal occurence. So here goes some explanations for maybe anyone who cares. In case you don't know. Hypebeast is one of the premier streetwear blogs. Maybe the premier one, period.

1 Hypebeast now has blogs so that's new. Maybe they're changing. I'm staying the same. I won't wear oversized sunglasses. Hat, if I have one on will be normal pointed forward, not at a 30% angle. My sense of style won't change since it's perfect already. I'll still be awkward in crowds. I don't own any denim. You won't see me out a lot at sneaker events. I do like sneakers though, but seldom buy them. My sneakers tend to be beat to shit. I like products, but don't write about them in blogs too often.
2 Maybe Kevin from Hypebeast is looking for other perspectives, maybe he likes GR (isn't that possible?!)
3. Synergy? Products, culture, and more. I think there's a fit. I might not be as "cool" as the streetwear kids, but I do try to innovate, but just in my own way.
4. Was I reluctant? No. If it were Perez Hilton then maybe, but Hypebeast? I figure it's all about consumer design culture and nice and hardworking people like Kevin, and Mr. Rob Heppler.
5. The direction. Am I going to start writing about GR X (insert blank) daily? No, but I do make stuff sometimes with people, but it's never "line-up" material. If I knew how to do that, it would be neat. Come to think about it, we've had some line-ups before. Barry McGee show and Uglycon and the Tylenol Ouch toys.
6. I'll aspire to write about friends, life, and projects like I do here, but maybe for a different audience and from a different perspective. I'll do the best I can, and hope I'm not boring.

ads

Now you see it. The new site. Yes, we need to move to a format that can house some ads. Why? It's because that's where some of the ad funds are going. We need to do this, hope you don't mind. Meanwhile, click on them, it does help us out.

Blog talk

Sorry, been on deadline and all that goodness. So one bit or information that I'll say just once. I appreciated comments that have nothing to do with my blog entries. It's a nice way to reach out. But... know that I can't write you back, and I don't want to communicate with you through the comments section in a blog entry that has nothing to do with the comment. I can't write you back. So, if you want something, I'm at eric@giantrobot.com. That includes LEGO® pieces, possible answers to questions (maybe - some things are out of control), and so on. Thanks much for reading and reaching out.

Impossible is nothing adidas.

I did this two days ago, and the email just showed up. It takes forever to load, but it's still funny. If you have an imac or a newer mac, there's a cam so you can do this thing really easy. I'm not that into that French building jumping crap (forgot the French word for it), but "Erichead" is having a good day in this video.

It takes a while to load the pop up window. Maybe it's not quite worked out yet.

I guess by me linking this, I'm doing exactly what Adidas wants me to do, and it's all for free. Shame on me. Shame on you for clicking that link up there and doing the same thing. Moooooo...

GRNY show Printed Matter 2

Jimmy, whoever you are. Thanks. Read up this long ass post about the GRNY show. Tons of pics, and the show looks good. Jimmy only makes fun of GR a little.

twitter.com

The box you see on the right hand side of the blog page is from Twitter.com.

Here's my page there. Basically I can update this thru the twitter site, or via a text message!

It's pretty bloGeek, but that's maybe what I'm a part of. This has to be part of the web 2.0 thing going on.
