71 Year Old Horseman in London Olympics

Hiroshi Hoketsu’s age continues to go up like everyone else, but his ability seems to be be the same. He competed in the 1964 Olympics! This isn’t a story about a man who at 71 will be the oldest Olympian, but the story about his dedication and partnership with his horse is as remarkable. His horse was ill, then recovered and they qualified for the Olympics. Talk about Rio in 2016 becomes another story. His horse, Whisper will be 19, and he doubts it would work out. Another horse sounds like something nearly out of the question. (Reuters – Hoketsu)
