For this exhibition, Tokyoite Erika Yamashiro continues her exploration of “feminine”. A stalwart of Takashi Murakami’s Geisai art fairs, Yamashiro is working on paper drawings which are apart from her paintings. She explains, “I feel cold from the special paper, like a mirror or a water surface.” When she draws she feels the sliding of her pencil on this special paper and the world behind the surfaces are what she tries to capture.
