Buddhist Monks Tend a Bar in Tokyo
A bar in Yotsuya neighborhood of Tokyo, there’s a bar called Vowz that’s actually tended by serious monks. There’s chanting, there’s sermons, and there’s just advice doled out. Pretty cool concept and you can get drunk in front of a monk. Odd and fun story. (NPR – Monk Bar)
