Kaoriders on the storm

You might be wearing 3, 8, or 24, but what do you know about Kaorider race gear? Recently, I received a care package from the Nice Rainbow film production group with two of its latest T-shirt designs, which are auto-inspired but not associated with NASCAR, NHRA, or even F-1.


At HIFF in 2006, director Katsuhito Ishii gave a sneak preview of his high-speed anime, and the effect was more like CARtoons than Speed Racer. It was wild; I don't think four wheels of any car were ever on the ground at once after the Christmas tree hit green.


The details on the shirts are out of control, too. Check out the size of the print, bold use of color, and sewn numbers. Crazy. You can't tell how soft the fabric feels--almost vintage.
