Beware of splashback!

GR53 is dropping as we speak. Not onto the shelves of your favorite shop (perhaps someplace with the initials G and R?) but onto the mag office floor as we print proof pages. Every part of making a magazine is satisfying--from meeting the subjects of articles to working on design to fine-tuning the articles into something solid--but now our work is really starting to pay off and resemble a magazine.

Over the last few issues, I've felt like we really hit a groove. It was almost like we were cruising along on autopilot. This issue was different. Being a new dad resulted in tight hours, little sleep, and resourceful working strategies. So I'm feeling really good about the mag reaching this point.

Of course, the real test will be if the mag lives up to your expectations.
