I don't know how many great shows I've seen at The Casbah--Drive Like Jehu, L7, Nirvana, Rocket From The Crypt, J Church, Seam, El Vez--and in the early '90s I was going so often with my brother that we'd get the heads-up from the bouncer. 2009 marks the venue's 20th anniversary, and a bunch of rad bands are playing in January to celebrate. Three-Mile Pilot is the big one for me--hope GR58 goes to press by then so I can partake. Check out the festivities here, tickets are on sale now!

You might note that a much-rumored Jehu reunion show is not listed. I actually asked about it, and it turns out schedules didn't permit. But it's not out of the question for later...
