New addition

No, this is not about Ralph, Johnny, and Bobby with BelBivDevoe but the ongoing home renovation. The framing is up and the structure seems to be growing exponentially. Here's a view from the backyard. The opening will be a sliding door that collapses into the wall. No screen door, so it will look nice and open. The long window inside will be over the kitchen counter, which goes along the wall.

The same room from inside. Bisect the angle and you can see where the new kitchen and new living room meet. Our architect John and the construction manager Rody had to do some fine-tuning to make all those beams meet in that tight corner. Doesn't all that wood look great?

Looking the other way, you can see the highest part of the ceiling as well as the huge window that will let in morning light and indirect light for the rest of the day. It will have a mechanized opener to let out hot air during the summer...

See the big window peeking over the old roofline? The front will still look pretty much the same--albeit with new windows, paint, and landscaping. Is this the end? No, there's still a couple months to go. Even so, we're getting ready to have Mr. Telephone Man reconnect our service. Okay, I better cool it now before I lose control over all these bad boy-band jokes.

Funny entry! It's your prerogative if you wanna paint it Brown.
I'll have to ask my Candy Girl about that.
Definitely looking forward to seeing this when it's all finished. I bet it's going to look great.
