Gardener 10th

Dropped by De La Barracuda on Melrose this afternoon to check out the Michael Lau show before it opened. The artist (right) was there with his crew from HK to install the Gardener 10th exhibit.


Below, my friend Prodip vs. the Prodig painting. Michael told me that he pulls out the Gardener 12" figures every couple years, but the paintings and Gardener strips aren't shown as often.


When I left at 5:30, there was already a small lineup to meet the Godfather of Figures.


I came back with Wendy and Eloise, who wanted to check out the amazingly detailed Gardener figures in person and say hi to Uncle Prodip, respectively. That's Michael's very cool wife Florance in the middle.


At the show we ran into my friend Kevin from Nike SB, who we congratulated for getting hitched a couple weeks ago. More proof that being into toys/art/interesting stuff and having a "regular" life aren't mutually exclusive.
