In the stands with Manny

I worked extra hard earlier in the week and was able to sneak out of the office to attend this afternoon's Dodger game. As Monkmus (below) and I pulled out of my driveway, the radio pre-game guys announced that tickets were sold out. We went anyway and were able to get cheap tickets really easily.

On the heels of last night's 13-inning win, a lot of players took a break today. Furcal, Martin, Blake, O. Dog, and Manny didn't start. The pitching was at full steam, though, as Kuroda continued to pitch well since coming back from being brained by a comebacker. He allowed one run in six innings, but Kemp took the lead back with a two-run homer. After that, Kuo, Sherrill, and Broxton shut down the Bucs.

Yeah, Manny looks like he can use a rest. The Blue Crew gets a day off, and then they can thank the Giants for taking care of their division rival Rockies with a couple more wins...
