Thanksgiving playlist

While a bunch of people were over copy editing the other day, we were listening to a Thanksgiving playlist on Napster... It wasn't the best, but I give the person credit for trying. Some holidays have soundtracks practically laid out for you. Not so easy with this holiday, but I like Mad Parade's version of "One Tin Soldier." You might know the song from the movie Billy Jack.
Continuing the original Americans theme, there's "Indian Giver" by the Ramones--if not for the song's actual sentiments, then the origin of the term.
Of course, "Sweet Avenue" by Jets To Brazil works on Thanksgiving, too, for totally different reasons.
Whether or not you eat meat, are related to the pilgrims, or even hate family gatherings, be thankful this weekend and don't get killed on Black Friday.

More songs for next year's "Thanksgiving Rocks" playlist:
Me and My Folks - Funkadelic
Family Functions - That Dog
Meat is Murder - The Smiths
There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly - Flipper
And finally, the Descendents' "Enjoy" LP in its entirety! (What, the track listings on the back of the album aren't real?)
