Damon & Naomi & Kurihara in NYC and Cambridge
Just got a note from my friends Damon & Naomi that they're going to be playing some special shows in NYC and their hometown of Cambridge:
- Each will begin with a screening of Naomi's films from the recently released DVD "1001 Nights," followed by a Q&A moderated by Haden Guest, Director of the Harvard Film Archive, who promises to play Dick Cavett to their John & Yoko.
- Sharon Van Etten, an extremely talented singer/songwriter whose debut was one of their favorite albums of 2009, will open with a solo set.
- And Michio Kurihara (their friend, longtime collaborator, and unofficial fourth member of Boris) has traveled from Tokyo to join them on electric guitar.
