GR screening of The Warlords next Tuesday!

If you live in L.A. and haven't looked into GR's advance screening of Peter Chan's The Warlords yet, do it now. Peter Chan's epic movie won a ton of awards, including Best Picture and Best Director in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and is absolutely worth an outing to Beverly Hills to see on the big screen--especially if it's FREE. (Affordable $3 parking right around the corner, south on Doheny.)
Chan, once known as the HK's king of emo flicks, has really outdone himself, making a gritty, epic, and awesome period-piece war movie starring an unusually burly Jet Li, who kicks ass without flips or wirework and turns in one of his best acting efforts yet as a renegade general. Even more amazing is the extent to which pretty boys Andy Lau and Takeshi Kaneshiro get beat up in the name of brotherhood, honor, and acting. Beautiful. Brutal. See you Tuesday night.
Opens in theaters in Southern California and New York City on April 2, with cities added weekly. Also, VOD and more. Details here.
