i ordered both yesterday, and havent' heard much of them other than live — but that was enough for me to buy them.

i dig Offwhyte's Beta Alpha, it's based on Aldous Huxley's Brave New World...one of my favorite books, if only because it's damn similar to college life..

very good.
this offwhyte release is really good. i'm listening to it now. better than his last in just about every way. it doesn't get boring. i dig the theme of the...coming end. something i've been interested in of late.

and qwel's is the most conceptual thing i've heard in quite a while, excluding any of the questionably pretentious anticon releases. actually, moreso. there aren't a whole lot of albums that have an all-pervasive theme. not only that, but it's a lot more conceptual sound-wise than his others.

bottom line, good, new styles, and you should buy them.

Beta Alpha is a fav of mine too. Also I really dig High Fidelity.

The Submerged State CDs are bangin too. I dig those remixes that Meaty did. I'm not familiar with the originals though. DJWL, could you enlighten me?

Well Meaty has really killed it on this album. G4 def has a good amount of sound making talent. Maker, Mike Gao, White LIghtning, Dreas, maybe some more I don't know about.
