What the bloody hell can you do with these things. I know 3 things total. Cook over flame, turn into a proponent of smores, put on top of yams, just eat them like a dofus. Help me! What else can be done with these blobs of sugar and lard?

Marshmallows are almost toally worthless, Lucky Charms being their one saving grace.

I don't even put them in smores, I put my chocolate on my cracker and put my cracker on a spatula, and put my spatula over the fire, and my chocolate gets good and melty.

You can cook them up with yams and cinammon and buttery stuff.

I've only ever tried American marshmallows in Singapore, and they were kinda gross.
The ones in the UK are nice, I haven't had them for years though. I only like the big fluffy marshmallows, not those weird colored twisty things or any other of that crap.
I've also tried these Japanese marshmallows with green tea/chocolate/strawberry stuff inside, which were yuuummy.

marshmallows kosher? they have gelatin in them, so i'm not sure.

i have a good recipe for them & they should last in the fridge for about a week.

my guys like to mack them up plain.

i want to make some smore's with them and maybe find some other recipes where i can add them in.

I don't care about marshmallows (yes there's a second "a" in there)...

but then after I tried the Vegan Supreme, I like them. They taste so much better than a regular marshmallow.

Ok that's my commercial pitch.

I scored major browny points when I gave those vegan marshmallows to this hot veggie girl I know. She told me I am sweet. I said baby I'm aint sweet I'm spicy and thats why they call me Kimchee

I bought a couple bags yesterday from GRSF (Den said it was his first marshmallow sale there ever)

I like them better than regular storebought marshmallows. They don't taste like they're full of preservatives. Taste good, nice texture.

Just tried roasting one over a stovetop burner. They get droopy and are difficult to brown evenly. The first skin was cohesive enough to slide off and eat, but the inner remains turned runny, falling off the stick.

It's just a bag of Vegan Supremes, some margarine and a saucepan, isn't it? Toss a bunch of rice crisp cereal in and stir it around then smoosh it in a pan.

02-03-2005, 09:31 AM
Hmm. I don't know about the treats, I meant making the marshmallows themselves. I know an old issue had the recipe, and I've misplaced that.

every year my aunt used to send me a big See's chocolate covered marshmallow heart. I don't think they make them anymore. And I'm dying to try these:
