Hi! Long-time lurker, first-time poster.

Normally, I eat lots of bread, pasta, rice etc. But since I quit my job recently, and have been really inactive, the unused energy is turning into kilos. I'd like to try the low carbs thing as I work out, but darned if I know what to eat instead.
Any ideas, or threads I might look at?

Have you tried switching to the whole grain versions of your carbs? Brown rice is great for that -- you don't feel the crash an hour later like with white rice.
