girl, i totally agree. i'll start with my most favorite skits...
the one that's been coming up most in conversation lately is the one w/bruce and scott who are two business guys and bruce has something on his face and scott keeps telling him where it is, but bruce keeps missing it. so then, bruce freaks out, goes into the bathroom and comes out sopping wet. the thing on his face is gone, but when he takes his jacket off he has a big slice of pizza on his shirt.
classic.

E-A-B...E-A..B-A
being the dork that I am I tried to play that once for real (on the piano) but...it doesn't quite pan out.
I think that's how the riff went--yes? no? It's been quite awhile.
I know that it was still on comedy central a couple months ago, every weekday at 2...not that I got to watch it but I did manage to get my friend hooked...hahaHA!
bah! piano?? the holy trinity will only work if played on an electric guitar! your lucky satan didnt possess you then and there!

Jen, that was a good one. Makes me laugh just thinking about it!
One of my favorites is the one where kevin and dave are sitting at a table and dave is trying to explain movies to kevin and he's like...it's the one with the newspaper tycoon and "rosebud" and Kevin goes--Citizen Kane? Then Dave's like, noooooo...that's not it...maybe...Psycho? And Kevin gets all frustrated and stabs the dinner knife into Dave's hand--hee hee hee...
Or what about Kevin's office--submarine! Or *any* of the Sir Simon Mulligan sketches.
oh, the hilarity...

Egads! What was I thinking. You're right. I could have been reduced to selling shoes (or stereos) for Satan--or worse! *shivers*
another one..theyre sitting a table having lunch and the guy just comes up and takes the salt shaker and leaves forgot all the details but it was funny
and the one where the cops chase robbers but they do itin slow mo, paying for gas and the check, etc..
ok im not making sense

"not now murray. i said, not now murray!!! NOT NOW MURRAY, NOT NOW MURRAY, NOT NOW MURRAY!!!!"

MURRAY!!!
I like the other one involving salt (unless it's the same one?)--"Danny said not to put salt in your eyes. Do NOT put salt in your eyes. Put salt in your eyes!" Then later--"What did Danny say? Danny said...KILL DANNY!"
The cops and robbers one was good--I liked how the border line was an actual line on the road...haha

Lemme see if I can remember any reocurring skits..
well there was the crushing your head guy, thirty helens agree.., The gay guy at the bar, and the chicken lady. Another good one was the eeeeeeradicator!! I remember seeing that one where that guy had like a half of a green bean on his mustache or something and the pizza on his shirt. Another good one was when the crushing your head guy faced off against the pinching faces guy, of course crushing head guy won.

I am CRUSHING your head. Crush! Crush!
Cabbage Head was another classic Kids In The Hall character.
An old skit is the secretaries with counters on the back of their heads. I think the counters keep track of how many words they typed. They would celebrate when the counter turned over and reached a high number.

hell ya good thread choice...
besides the satan wa wa petal scetch, and the guy who sells stereos for satan,
ive always had a soft spot for those two street preformers who win a lifetimes supply of kraft dinner, ketchup, and tapeworm food.

The ladies of AT and Love were the best! "Type faster, Kathie, faster!!" There was a bald doctor on some doctor TV show (chicago hope??) who reminded me of Dave's boss character for AT and Love. Just cuz they were both bald and all. Hee...
I don't think I've seen the street performer one! Not cool! I pride myself on stupid KITH knowledge!
I like the ones where Dave and Kevin are the French traders in the canoe who club businessmen over the head for their suits ("we have Armani...fresh!") and sing that french song about owls. I think it's about owls. That's what a friend of mine said anyway.
Another good one is Dave's open letter to "Guy I Clotheslined While Riding By On A Bicycle." And Mr. Heavyfoot and his escapades.

i liked the ones with dave and kevin doing the "nobody likes us" skit.
and the one where dave makes bruce apologize for causing all that cancer. i loved that.

No. But he does kind of look like the guy who does Cabbage Head.
A Canadian steps up...
1) The chicken lady. When she goes back to her origins, that shit his unbelievable! -giant chicken person hatches from an egg; dad: "Boy, what you been up to?"
2) Don't know why, but it's time to hate the Swiss.
3) The "Banned from the Kids" skits. 'Hitler *blanks* a donkey' is killer. Just couldn't explain this one to my Japanese friends.
4) "Steps"-anytime and everytime.
5) Buddy Young-anytime and everytime.
6) "My pen!! You stole my pen!!"
7) A sketch that I haven't seen in awhile and don't know if it ever gets repeated- "The Blow Job Fairy". Unbelievable!!
8) An older man is slowly walking down the street with a knife-sharpening cart. As he passes a nice suburban house, a large blood splatter sprays all over the window. seconds later, Dave Foley emerges covered and blood and politely asks for his axe to be sharpened. Damn funny.
9) When Kevin is trying to kick the tea habit.
10) "Somebody's gonna get a punch in the head!"

Soooooo good!! I also liked "So...didja like it? Drink some more and I'll tell you what's in it."
4) "Steps"-anytime and everytime.
My friends and I spent an agonizingly long time trying to remember all of their names--Butch, Smitty, RILEY.
6) "My pen!! You stole my pen!!"
When I saw them on their live tour they were selling pocket protectors!!
7) A sketch that I haven't seen in awhile and don't know if it ever gets repeated- "The Blow Job Fairy". Unbelievable!!
I've seen it more than once..."You can call me *Suzy*." What I'd like to see again is "Sex Girl Patrol"--the sketch started and my mother got all scandalized and made me change the channel. Not fair!
How about the one where Kevin is going for a job interview and brings along his Lucky Licking Lobster for good luck?
There was that one song-and-dance number that Scott and Kevin did, going up to the top of the stairs, cracks me up every time.
The Doctor Seuss Bible!
"Let sleeping dogs lie...well I say NO!!!"
Shawgirl--yeah that other dude was on the State, I'm pretty sure. If I had cable, I too would be watching this every day. Damn my house with its rabbit ears antenna!

what about that one episode, the fucking weird one with bruce mccullough as the owner of the wig shop? nobody likes that one except for me i think. "no one must learn my terrible secret..." and then he strangles a squirrel. "i.... dropped my shampoo..." "how would i know anything about a wig?" he fucking breaks the mirror. oh shit... fucking genius.
another one that's good is that "slipped my mind" one, lex and dean or something... the one with dave and kevin. "just a mo'..."
yeah. fuck yeah.

Yep, I liked that one too. There was also another funny episode I can't quite remember clearly, but I think it shows two cops standing outside their squad cars talking, and then some shady-looking guy runs up and asks one of the cops, "Can I borrow your gun?" The cop says, "Sure!" and gives it to him. (damn, I loved that show)

What about this one
"Running faggot running free...
see the faggot running from the rednecks..."
Or the annoying kid..
"How much do you think my head weighs... and if my head were veal how much would it be worth"
And my all time favorite, the one with the business man as the kids pet and at the end the mom makes him put the business man back in the city and give him warm oatmeal.

Gavin! Nobody else loved the Gavin skits?
"Did you know? that locusts? by themselves? are virtual cowards?"
"There's this kid? at school? and he was hit with lightning? and now his thumb gloooows in the daaaark!!"
"There's these kids? that are really bad? and they're so bad? that they tought their dog to smoke! Those are some reeeall bad kids."
The best is the one where the Jehovah Witnesses come to Gavin's house--and promptly leave.
JHVH Witness#1 (referiing to Gavin's dad): What's that?
Gavin: That? is a human hangover. (resumes "Sweating to the Oldies" excercise)
And the Simon/Hecubus "EVIL!!!" ones w/ Kevin & Dave:
"I am Jorge! de bus dri-ver! Ai! Ai!"
And Scott's Buddy Cole was always hilarious. And the cops skits, the Bellini skits, Mark as the teen geek girl w/ the braces, the "Workman's Comp is a Bitch Goddess" sketch, Cancer Boy, the Chicken Lady skits, etc. Too much comic goodness....

Just came back from a secret standup show with the Kids...they showed a short film Foley and Thompson did, and then the Kids read from their whole pilot episode and then did a short Q&A.
Man, I've really missed them.

I'm glad I went, but I'm sure a tour DVD or clips will come out on YouTube in the near future. The only complaint I had (other than the high ticket price and an almost $20 surcharge from TicketBastard) was that it was only 1 1/2 hours long.

there's a good one where mark is trying to seduce scott and he's dressed up like dracula.
it sort of climaxes with the line
how come everytime i come to the city, somebody picks me up at the bus station, takes me to a leafs game, gets me drunk, and then tries to give me a blow job.
or something to that effect.

The trailer for the new Kids In The Hall 8-part mini-series ("Death Comes To Town") is now online (http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/c78840cb55/kids-in-the-hall-death-comes-to-town). Too bad it'll probably take forever before it's aired/released on DVD in the U.S. :(

Crap, "Kids In The Hall: Death Comes To Town" is still in the "Saved Discs" of my Netflix Queue. Anyways, for any KITH fans in the L.A. area, Scott Thompson is debuting his new short film at the Los Angeles Comedy Shorts Festival (http://www.lacomedyshorts.com) at the Downtown Independent. It's called "The Immigrant" and the official website (with trailer) is here: http://www.levybrothers.com/theimmigrant.html.
