I rather like this band. I know a lot of people rather dislike them, and I know a lot of people, like me, rather like them, but regardless of all this, I saw them live and I thought these guys really know how to put on a great show.

I LOOOVE the Bravery. Got their album the week it came out after enjoying their single (from iTunes).
Yeah, they're shallow but I really dig their use of synth (I was a teenager during the 80s...)
I missed them at Coachaella.
I'm currently digging Bloc Party, Neuropa, and Elkland for my synth fix.
I liked the Killers until one of my stupid Mexican co-workers got into them (a hip hop freak, no less).

The Bravery and the Killers have a beef. Oh, indie rock n' roll drama!

I think you can add spoon to that list. I saw them at their Tower performance in NY and it was so boring.

Uggh, I hate this band. Bravery front man is trying to be Morrissey. We've had the mope rock in the 80's, why try to better it? Vintage synths, vintage look.
I give them an F+.
Sorry to flame.

it's easy to flame a band for sounding like this band, or being influenced by that band, but what band isn't?
one of the best ways to judge a band is by their live performance, and these guys fucking tore the roof off when I saw them. no joke. one of the best shows I've seen lately, along with Death From Above 1979, The Killers, Sloan, and The Witnesses.
bands I saw live recently that were just okay: Spoon (worse than okay, downright boring as shit), Ted Leo, Built to Spill.

I really don't get Bloc Party though. They are so boring.

go see them live if you don't believe me and are willing to shell out the money to see a band you hate - maybe just as an experiment. but I doubt anyone would do that. I don't even think I'd pay money to see a band I didn't like because someone told me I'd better do so as an "experiment."
but totally these guys rock until the building falls down on innocent bystanders.

all i saw was that someone said that fischerspooner sucked.. . just had to say, well maybe, but they are awsome
Dude, The Bravery... Fuckin A this is disposable garbage that won't be remembered in four years' time. They are to nu wave what the Spin Doctors were to alternative. Last year the singer was in a band called Skabba the Hutt and had dreadlocks. Fucker is trying to cash in. At least The Killers honestly want to be Duran Duran.
And if you dig your um-cha hi hat beats, no way can you tell me a single set by this band is anywhere near the religious experience played by The Arcade Fire.

I've never seen the Arcade Fire live. I'll have to say they were quite hyped up too, but their CD is kinda boring. Maybe the live show is something different.

"Later, Lourie played on the seven-song demo that became the backbone of the Bravery’s homonymous Island/Def Jam debut."
Homonymous? I wonder if they mean eponymous. But what a great article. Just kidding. Not really. Just kidding. It's about the Killers/Bravery feud and Skabba the Hut and all that shit.
