I live in Brooklyn. I play some guitar and some drums. I am mediocre at singing. I can either sing lead or back-up or not at all if that turns out best.

I am interested in playing garage rock, proto-punk stuff, like The Sonics, The MC5, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Mudhoney, The Hives, etc. But I'll play anything that rocks - just no emo or country-inflected indie stuff.

I don't have a place to practice unfortunately. Do you? Let's rock it together. I'm serious.

PM me if interested. Serious replies only.

are you being serious? I'll do some acoustic bryan adams covers, like summer of '69.

I played drums all through high school. but since then I've fallen off. so I'm rusty.

so we now have two guitarists and a crappy drummer. then we just need a bassist and drummer. or we can trade bass duties with me doing some occasional drumming - I always thought it would be cool to have a band with a rotating lineup.

funky, you can run the merch table. but merch is a long way off at this point.

i've been playing bass for 15 yrs and guitar for 10. i can do either, though i no longer have a bass.

you are in luck, my friend. my current bryan adams repertoire includes such chart-topping favorites as run to you, summer of '69, and it's only love.

dude, you are a pro. I've been playing guitar for almost seven years, and I played drums for about four years.

do you have a pretty good howl? I think I might if I had a place where I could let it rip. sometimes I think it would be cool to form an Asian American band and tell people we are from somewhere crazy, like Azerbaijan or Mongolia.

if we did form an Asian American band, we could call ourselves the Mongolian Blue Spots.

I also have some other names in mind.

good drumers are a rarity. if you're marginally decent, you'll get tons of offers, esp in nyc where every asshole is in a band.

Anyone Can Play Guitar

no, but I seriously want to be in a band. I would play some drums, but I don't want that to be my main function.

i'll be the guy on the turntables who appears to be adding something useful to the songs.

Any New York people who play music? Come on.

I have the best name EVER for the band. We will have fun. I just want to play music with other people and make songs. That's it. I'd also like to know what it's like to perform in front of people. Just one time would be good. But I don't do solo acoustic open mic hippie crap, so screw that. I wanna perform with a band.

If I lived in NY.. I'd love to play Billy Childish style rock..

Good luck getting some mates together.
