The spam never stops!! 50 spams for pr0n a day
Yeah, that's why I closed my Hotmail account. Or rather left it to accumulate the SPAM. God knows how much junk I have in there now...

I get spam for consolidating my mortgage. I made the rookie move of trying to unsuscribe the first time I got one. I'd never had a problem with spam before so I didn't know any better.
I know a girl who has a friend who runs a business spamming people on AOL. Allegedly, business is good and he lives pretty fucking large with a nice crib. He's got a really good pool table in his living room, etc. I'd imagine I'd hit him if I ever ran into him...I'm not part of AOL, I just think it should be done on general principal.

yup, that's why i never use any of the 5 hotmail accounts that i set up - i guess they've been closed out by now. you can set it up to reject spam or put junk mail into a separate folder though if you really want to continue using hotmail.

Yahoo is pretty good with the spam filtering. Not perfect but I see a tiny percentage compared to the spam on hotmail accounts.

i just got a spam the other day that was a weird scam.
They claimed to be an overseas petroleum ministry that needs a U.S. bank account to transfer some extra money that was made on the side. So they asked me to send my personal
phone number and letterhead. What!? This con must work
or they wouldn't be doing this shit.

That's been going around for quite some time but in different variations. I think it started with a story of a guy from Africa who had all this money in his possession but needed help. You get a share of it for helping. The minor details of the story keeps changing but its basically the same con.
I knew this manager that was stupid enough to believe it at first. I seriously asked him if he was kidding. He realized at that point that no one would give him a large sum of money for doing something like that. He got mad at me for a second but didn't express it because it would only make him look dumber.

what's worse now is that MS is trying to scam you into buying storage space on hotmail. and they periodically delete email that you've actually read (i.e., want to keep) without even telling you, so as to twist your arm into buying storage space. Microsoft is evil.

if you don't mind having to click thru 3 pages to get to your inbox, yahoo is good.
my wife has yahoo. we don't want to have to sign in everytime we use it at home. she says she likes it though.

hotmails working for me today, but it does go through periods of downtime. I'm using the spam filters so hotmail isn't totally useless, basically I don't get any mail into my main folder that isn't on my "safe" list, but I still have to go through my junk mail folder to see if anyone I wanted to talk to got filtered...so its still a pain in the ass. Motherfucking spammers...thanks for making email as much of a ballbreaker as having a phone...
I wish there was like a sub-undernet that these bastards couldnt get into that everyone could use to communicate...

Hotmail is being a pain in the ass today. Anybody else having problems?
Nothing out of the ordinary. For the past few weeks, I've missed several important emails for whatever reason. But, like I said, nothing unusual.
