This isn't a fav, but old poor-ass grampa used to make it for me when I was a kid. We live in the projects of Biloxi, Mississippi (Tha 'Hood was so full of black people that the Klu Klux Klan stopped by for a visit and torched a cross a few hundred feet down from the apartments, but that's another story) .
We were so poor, I never knew boxed cereal existed. Didn't discover this till I was 10 when my friends mom took us to the Piggly Wiggly (neighborhood Super Market) for the first time.

Basic 4. Liked triples back when they made it (kinda like rice crispies but 3 different types). I tried some Multi-Grain Cheerios yesterday. I liked them very much, lightly sweetened. I think they remind me of Kix by taste. I think it's Kix.

does anyone else remember CROONCHY STARS from the late 80s?

it was cinnamon star shaped puff cereal and the muppet's swedish chef was its mascot.

i loved that cereal, but i think they discontinued it after a year.
still my fave from my childhood.

I'd always use regular saltine crackers, crush 'em in a bowl, dust with sugar and pour on the milk. As a little kid, I always thought of Ritz crackers as "fancy crackers." Plus the saltines in the sugary milk (had a tasty to me anyway) contrast.
