Prometheus. Fairly clever title. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Time will tell.

This was originally a prequel to the Alien series. It may still be as Ridley Scott has hinted that it's set in the same universe. Sounds like he's experimenting with a bit of Lucas apres-explain-it-to-death for the origin of the xenomorphs in the Alien movies; guess what the bio-weapons are described above. Eh. We'll need to see and know more before we can make a decision.
One thing is exciting: HR Giger is on board for creature designs.

Found the original [non-shooting] script (pre-Lindelof) - reading it now.

Bio-enhanced humans vs Aliens + Extreme Aliens. But you'll know who will win.
Ridley does Sci Fi well. I'll watch it. |

* The space jockeys are holding two human slave farmers captive. They are named Fin and Karik and are forced (via mind control) to engage in sexual activity. (The twist: they're both male).
* The idea behind the man-on-man action is apparently that the growers want their human slaves to breed. They have no idea about human genders as they are a single sex race and so things get a little confused. Maybe the G-ds did intend Adam and Bruce. DOMA be damned. These rumors are from 2010 btw. Doubt any of this is even remotely going to make it pass Fox executives.

looking forward to seeing the pre-production art. The concept art from the original Alien still looks fresh.
I don't care if it's a cash in, he defined the horror/sci-fi genre. His movies can be hot-or-miss. But he's still one of my favorite storytellers. His brother too.

Shadow 19 was pretty cool. I really do think it's a shame it won't get shot because I rather enjoyed it.
It had little to do with the 'Alien' concept - unless you really reach far. But it was still very good. The obligatory love-story angle was tired and I generally prefer sci-fi sans sex. As for what is known about the production version, I think it could go one of two directions: 1.) Freaking awesome. 2.) Horrifying disappointment.

Not a fan of Tony Scott. Ridley, on the other hand, is quite good.
