haven't been playing a ton lately. it seems like such a hassle to play my xbox where i sit around and play iPhone or kindle fire quite a bit. considering getting a psp as there are still a few games coming out for it and it has a pretty big JRPG catalog which i would like to check out

My neighbor's boys bought a Vita together. I haven't seen it yet but I was talking to the older boy about it a couple weeks ago.

hey joetron are you familiar with wasteland? i wasn't but apparently the same team or dude or whatever did fallout and i know you talk about play fallout 3 (i think) anyway they have a kickstarter and on another forum i read "if they can reach $2.1 million during the 17 days remaining on the funding schedule, they’ll be bringing in Obsidian Entertainment, including Planescape: Torment mastermind Chris Avellone, to help them make the game." that meant nothing to me but on the forum all the dudes went ape shit at that news

the vita seems cool but expensive if you didn't have to buy memory separately and came with a good pack in game i would consider it but its like 300 bucks and then you have to buy that stuff still. i think i might get a psp eventually and then when the next redesign of the 3DS comes out (no telling when that would be) i would prob get one of those. portable gaming is so much better for me even if i play them largely at home.

Hmm... Thanks for the heads-up. Hadn't heard/read about that project. I'll have to check it out.

Anybody having problems logging into PEN/PSN? I keep getting timed out but the connection test works. So frustrating.

Installed Legends of Grimrock last night. It would play for a few minutes and then my machine would reboot.
Was too tired to mess around with it.
I read the forums today, seems like they don't cap the FPS so your gpu just goes crazy and I might need to clean the dust out my computer.
Someone suggested turning on vsync and that should help.
Hopefully I'll get a chance to try it tonight.

Had Grimrock going last night, no problems here but I'll turn on vsync to be safe. Very much like the Dungeon Master I remember, just faster performance. Gonna fiddle with it a bit more this weekend.

FYI: Perform manual saves often once you get down the first set of stairs, it gets harder pretty quick and your characters aren't armed particularly well.

Turned on vsync and was able to play for a little bit longer before my computer restarted. I opened up the case and cleaned out all the dust. My fans are sounding a running a lot slower now. I think it was just chocked up in there with no way for air to get in/out.

It's fun so far.
