not really. ranges from $700 - $900 per year. most insurance companies will give you a discount if you bundle your auto insurance.

Too much for me.

Check out Zillow to see what 580k gets you in Los Angeles. If you go out to the valley, you can get a nice place. In my hood, Hollywood, a starter 2 bedroom.

ugh. this makes me sad..

http://globalpublicsquare.blogs.cnn....tion-nation-2/

In 2011, California spent $9.6 billion on prisons, versus $5.7 billion on higher education. Since 1980, California has built one college campus; it's built 21 prisons. The state spends $8,667 per student per year. It spends about $50,000 per inmate per year.

^ Here's something to cheer you up.

The bizarre calculus of emergency room charges.

ugh. this seems pretty common for car insurance stuff too. if you get into a fender bender and you go to a shop for an insurance estimate, they'll quote you let's say $1000. but if you tell them that you're paying cash out of pocket, then the quote is much cheaper like $600.

also, i've heard that hospital fees are negotiable. i've read stories where people without insurance were able to haggle their bills down to less than half. so yeah, all these fees are arbitrary.

San Sai west hollywood, waiting for my car to get washed, eating a mediocre tiger roll as Wingers 17 plays on the radio, poker on the TV. So weird.
