Spotify is so nice for this. Not that everything is available on there. But, it's a good way of gauging whether it's worth a purchase or not.

That's my frustration though with some of the bands that go the DIY route and aren't on the label distribution chain--music streaming services don't have complete discographies so you're left to settle for what's being offered. Fortunately a good number of those bands posted in blogs are on Spotify.

Yeah. If they aren't on spotify, I usually check bandcamp or soundcloud.

Also, Cvlt Nation's been putting up their lists, too. I enjoyed perusing their hardcore list for the year. I wasn't familiar with Code Orange Kids but the album they listed was on Spotify and entertaining.

Finally got around to listening to Witchcraft's album Legend. I can now see why it made quite a few best-of 2012 lists. It's almost like Opeth if they stripped away any trace of death metal in their brand of rock.
