I think, going forward, I'm going to start ripping all CDs from a Linux or Mac box. I don't think I'll ever trust putting a music CD into a Windows box ever again.

I may take the added step of completely wiping and reinstalling my XP systems, too.

Yeah, I don't think this applies to anything I'd buy...yet. It's still way fucked. I was almost feeling guilty when I looked all the albums I d/l'd this past year. Not anymore.

Thomas Hesse, president of Sony BMG's global digital business division defends rootkits in an NPR interview : "Most people, I think, don't even know what a rootkit is, so why should they care about it?"
