I tried, but the spacebar has this little metal thingy in thar that you have to put exactly back into place or there will be no 'action'. I can make the space bar work if I press REALLY hard, but it won't come back up for a little while.

Either way, it was an excellent cup of coffee that destroyed my keyboard.

I expect 21, 22 and 23 to be like any other series of days.

I doubt I'll catch the eclipse (you'd have to be a few hundred miles due south of Alaska) and I doubt I'll witness a nuclear explosion. What I do think I'll see is a lot of people doing a lot of drugs and a couple of suicides (only slightly more than the usual number for the holiday season). When people wake up on the 24th they'll have to face the rest of their lives.

It is my hope that 2012 magically becomes a transformative experience which moves people into thinking for themselves. I have no reason at all to believe in that. It just happens to coincide with the Mayan mythos and I hope that it is, somehow, the case.

According to Terrence McKenna, information / language is attempting to leap free from physicality. So that language will become somehow visible within the next century. I like his idea because it's trippy, but I don't see how it's possible. Then again, I just watched a dance and I got everything it was about without any spoken words.

In a way I feel like words get in the way of meaning. Sort of like the douchebags who think Jesus is supposed to be thought of as a historical artifact. Or the other douchebags who think that what they experience is objective reality devoid of mental filtration (these people claim scientific thought, but they're very rarely scientists in the strictest sense).



I am very interested in the oddness of what I'm experiencing right now.

The internet may yet be on watch via Big Brother within the next year. Organic farming might be illegalized (a Democrat on the East Coast is a big player in that). A formal fascist state eeks closer and closer. Civil unrest is openly discussed. Poor people are getting poorer and more desperate. I'm actually to the point that I have to close my bank account because I'm too poor to afford to have money (that sounds like a joke, but it is not in any way a joke). My situation is not unique. I'm seeing, on a regular basis, more and more homeless people where I live. These are new homeless. You can tell.

I said something about a lawn chair and a bottle of champaign.

I may have to buy those now while they're still accessible.

I notice people have conversations about the stuff I dreamed about the night prior. It;s kinda cool and I've taken to writing this stuff down.
