I heard this was the case. Can anyone confirm or deny?

I can't tell what's going on. It seems like Fox has put the show on hiatus because they already have a lot of new Futurama episodes that haven't been shown.

I read that its a matter of the creator wanting to know if he should make more. It supposed to be done in big batches so he needs advanced notice.

But like Monty was saying....they have a lot left to show but the past season was slow because of pushbacks from 9/11. So I am not sure if hiatus or cancel is a good description but Fox isn't saying hey put more in the queue either.

It's current time slot doesn't help either. In the fall, it always gets preempted because NFL games run past 7p/6p (ET/CT). I wish they'd move it to a better time slot. Like, instead of "King of the Hill". "KotH" isn't a bad show, it's just not as good as "Futurama" in my opinion.

I think nothings official but FOX is probably pulling the show after they air all the new episodes unless there is a dramatic ratings boost or something. There's an article at http://www.ugo.com if you are interested...

Pity. The writing in Futurama has been quite good. Better than some episodes of the Simpsons.

apparently Futurama is coming back. but on DVD. but who knows.

hey, test your Futurama knowledge! you only get three guesses. and for every guess you get correct, the time allowance decreases and the number of choices increases. it's a good time killer while you're at work.

You mean new episodes on DVDs? Because the entire broadcast series is already available across 4 volumes.

Billy West just confirmed on his site that they're scheduled to do four more Futurama movies that'll go direct to DVD.

I can't wait. And if these do well, I can't see how Fox can say no to restarting the show again. They did it for Family Guy so fingers crossed.

''Futurama'' for TV and we're hammering out the deal now.The original
plan was to have the DVD's first but that's no longer the case.I'm totaly
