Here at Joe’s everything is fresh. 100% U.S.D.A., federal selected choice beef chuck is specially selected. Our burgers are always tasty and juicy, slowly cooked medium-rare unless you specify otherwise. We ask a lot of questions that help us to fully satisfy your stay at Joe’s. Please order your ground steak burger the way you would like your steak cooked.

Your patience is appreciated and well worth the wait. Don’t worry - same day service!

All of our fresh ground steak beef burgers are served open faced for your inspection. (Sorry, no secret sauces.) Following food critics’ testing method, slice off a small piece of the patty without bread, taste it and come to your own conclusion. All garnishes are on the side.

I’ve learned that kids are tough critics. When parents are surprised at their kids open appetites at Joe’s, the kids answer: “Dad, this is good.” Kids only finish what is good.

Service: we are proud of our quality staff. We hope you are pleased. If you have a bigger smile we would love to have you join our little family.

I like good things and good food in life and I work hard for it. When I want gold, I don't want a fake a look-alike, or something painted a gold color. When I want a beef burger, I want a real old fashioned fresh ground steak as it originated and I am worth it. Anything less is a fake, a look-alike, or something painted a brown color. Let's call apples apples and oranges oranges. I give good quality and honest portions. I eat and enjoy what I serve. I will not serve what I will not eat.

Now that you know our daily efforts step by step, please feel free to comment about our food and service. We appreciate your business and hope you will return soon with a friend. I am always glad to meet my customers.

ground fresh daily at Joe's open-view butcher corner for viewers to witness.

The more I eat it the more I appreciate Tommy Burgers. The Double Bacon at Jack N' The Box is good too in that when I want there double bacon, no other hamburger will do.

And I had a double cheeseburger at Denny's a few weeks ago, the one on Sunset across from the KTLA buildings, and it was astonishingly good. Astonishing because it was Denny's, so I thought it would taste so so. But it was really damn good.

The best burger in Venice is Hunano. It's a little dive bar on Washington near the beach, and all they make is hamburgers.

I just know that if I knew wtf a Hot N Hunky's was that I would have a new favorite hamburger.

I like the ones I make. Sometimes I make chili to go on them, sometimes I make mashed potatoes and gravy and just throw that shit right on the burger and put it into a bun.

The word 'hamburger' comes from the term 'hamburg steak' which originated in Hamburg, Germany. Likewise, the term 'frankfurter' refers to the city of Frankfurt, Germany.

Has anyone ever tried any of these places? They are supposed to be some of the best burger places in SoCal. I was wondering if they are just trendy and fancy or actually good.

Drove past Rick's Drive-In in Pasadena (visiting brother and family) and turned around to give it a try last week.

http://laist.com/2010/03/26/pasadena_burgers_ricks.php

Had the basic 5.99 burger/drink/fry combo and it really hit the spot.
