Can someone help me with (very basic) web page set-up/code?
I need to create a simple web page like this:
 Ignore the "coming soon" part, basically, the main page is just an art gallery window that has buttons to cycle the images, a text introduction, a menubar and some graphics. Every week there would be a new 'avatar' of death itself in illustrated form. The buttons on the menubar don't even have to work at this point. I just need the click-able gallery thing going on. The guy already bought the domain name and paid for the hosting, all's I need is the code and I can begin the fun. Arg, but I am a total novice with all this html/css/coding/innnanet stuff. I can do everything myself except for that, waaaaah. Any bot that helps can expect something in return, so if you need simple art/logo/design, or want a little piece of the action/traffic generated, I would be more than happy to oblige.

Everything you want to know is available on the internet...simple javascript would suffice to run the gallery. Try http://www.barelyfitz.com/projects/slideshow/, which allows you to make the slideshow w/o doing any programming...

Those sites are cool, but after going in and starting the process, it would still be a lot of work and tweaking and I might not get the (simple) functionality I need. It's just that I can't devote much time to doing anything but creating the graphics and 'content' stuff. The web stuff is second to the illustrations I am working on, and I only have time to real quickly create mock-up graphics and the like right now. Once I have the actual HTML/Java/Flash/whatever scripts I can load all the images and let people check out the page and give me their opinions on the real artwork. My employer, the author of the book and paying for the domain and hosting, will then let me spend more time on the site, because as of now, my deadlines are set for the illustrations. He'd move the deadlines forward if he could see the partially functional site up for view. (He's not web savvy, the guy's in his 50s and stuff, and has never done anything on the web before).

do you have photoshop?
most current versions have several automated web gallery functions that will make you a spiffy page all by itself.
