Recently, I've run into a few things that I haven't thought about in YEARS but quickly realized were things I spent a LOT of time thinking about as a kid. So post things you used to think about, maybe even were obsessed with, as a kid but rarely or ever think about these days.

I had a honeybee that lived inside my ear as an imaginary friend.

I secretly believed that my family was the instrument of a scientific experiment -with me as the test subject- and only pretended to love me.

i made believe i had a tiny friend who rode beside me everywhere i went on a minibike...and he did flips and everything just to keep up with me....

I used to talk to my hand before I went to sleep under the covers. Not talking out loud, you know, in my mind.

a habit from when i was a kid until now - i need a pillow or blanket near my face to reflect my breath back to me.....i am not sure if this is because i need to prove myself to be still alive or what...

also...i need a window open and/or a background noise like air conditioner on low..nothing that has any too-specific noise.....this probably means i have a deep desire to be ear-fucked by norwegian feminists or something.......

My feet need to be uncovered when I sleep.

I need background noise too. To this day, when the furnace or air kicks on I get a little excited.

One I've been trying to figure out for years. The blankets that have that trim around them....I'm not sure what it's made of but you can fold the trim to make it very sharp...and I still like to "cut" myself between my fingers as I lay there. I've done this my whole life. Just recently (seven or eight years ago) I realized that it was keeping me from sleeping. My wife and I had one our bed and I threw it out. My wife asked why and I told her I thought i was allergic to the fabric because i couldn't really explain what my problem was.

Yeah, I used to think about "weak spots" a lot. Like the Toad's ears.

I used to have to position pillows like a wall around my head before I could sleep, like 3 or 4 pillows.

I used to think I would one day learn how to control things with my mind, like telekinesis. I'd think of ways I would put this power to use. Never thought of anyway it could be used for good.

Before I had learned about how relationships work, I thought that I would have to sleep inside of my wife. Like we go to bed, I go in and keep it in there over-night. Wake up the next morning and unplug. lol.


I used to wonder if I was adopted because I am nothing like any family members. We don't even speak the same way.
