One of our closest friends, David Horvath explains how Uglydoll wasn’t just born out of a plush doll, but it’s a process of drawings that aren’t just doodles like what most people would think. Uglydoll is actually born out of stories from own daily lives. The things that happen become situations between characters. It’s much deeper than you’d ever think. I’m proud to have directed David Horvath.

“Stitched Together” – UGLYDOLL
David Horvath signed letters to his sweetheart far away in Korea with a character named “Wage”. Sun-Min surprised him by making a doll version as a holiday present. Soon after, a toy store owner in Los Angeles ordered 20 –which sold out in a day- and the love birds launched what became a wildly successful line of Ugly Dolls, books, products and even a movie soon at a theater near you.
How I Made My Millions premieres Friday 8pm ET on CNBC.
Uglydoll Snowflakes!
It’s not difficult. These are among the easier snowflakes to make including templates!
Tools: Printer, scissors, X-Acto knife.
Here’s how.
a) Print out the template.
b) Fold the paper. This seems simple, but it’s not as simple as you’d think.
c) Cut out the dark portions and unfold!

Tips:
The cleaner you fold, the better the result.
When using the X-Acto, cut layer by layer. Don’t attempt to cut through the entire piece at one time.
