GR: Where are you in your art career? Where do you want to go? PCP: Been doing freelance illustrator/designer in Japan and U.S. I want to get more involved with the music industry. Perhaps, album covers sound good. ![]() GR: What do you feel is significant about your work? PCP: Looks different from anything that I've ever seen. Maybe... GR: Which artists work do you enjoy looking at and why? PCP: P.T. Anderson, Stanley Donwood, Haruki Murakami, J. Otto Seibold, Tim Burton. Etc... because they create something that I've never seen before. ![]() GR: How do you approach and execute your work? PCP: I start out drawing on a paper with pencil. Scan it into computer, paint some and print it out. I then use acrylic paints to paint some more. Done. ![]() Evah Fan is a recent graduate of Pratt Institute in NYC. Her work is fun yet odd at times. GR: Where are you in your art career? Where do you want to go? What type of movie do you think would go with your music? EF: As far as I'm concerned, I'm fresh outta la escuela. There's infinite routes to go about submitting one's artwork. I hope one day my doodles can take me to some cold climate areas, it's very stimulating! ![]() GR: What do you feel is significant about your work? EF: Nothing is too significant in my works other than the fact that it's all fragmented. I think spontaneity plays a big role, nonsense, eerieness, and humor adds flavor in areas as well. I guess being young at heart can sum it up a bit? Some silly thoughts and daydreams are supporting roles. ![]() GR: Which artists work do you enjoy looking at and why? EF: Artists like Neo Raunch, Taylor McKimens, Marcel Duchamp, David Lynch Neil Farber, Marcel Dzama, Harmony Korine, and Mr. Bean all took a part in educating Evah's visual sense through their works. It's fun to discover their initial focus though I am never sure to be on point with it, but there's extreme lingering power behind it... keeps my mind occupied for days. GR: How do you approach and execute your work? EF: Keep on truckin' silly thoughts and the daydreams, they'll come in handy... I like to involved some visual vocabulary with mine... fun times with madlibs. ![]() |
