Pritzker Prize to Wang Shu

We don’t claim to know that much about architecture, but the Pritzker Prize is the highest honor awarded to an architect. The names you already know if you’re a simpleton in the world of architecture… yes they’ve won. 2012, the award went to a name you probably don’t know. Wang Shu who runs Amateur Architecture Studio is the first Chinese citizen to win the prize and his buildings (or the few we’ve seen) mixes the old and the new. Take a look below. Below is the Ningbo Museum. Imagine heading towards this building. It’s part Jawa, Tusken Raider, and ancient. The right side definitely has two looks, and is probably amazing inside. More at the link (archdaily – Ningbo Museum)
