Chip Kidd Recalls The Kafka on the Shore Book Cover - Art by Eishi Takaoka

Art by Eishi Takaoka and sourced by the great designer Chip Kidd. He gives us a small shout out in this article that chronicles the covers of Haruki Murakami books. Kafka on the Shore would never look this nice without the wood carved sculpture by Eishi. 

"I saw the wooden head sculpture on a website called Giant Robot, and it just reminded me so much of one of the main characters, Nakata, who is really smart, but he’s treated like a simpleton."
