Enter Giant Robot Media

It’s been a number of years since the final issue of Giant Robot Magazine. Since then, I’ve been running the shops, designing products, and developing curatorial projects at institutions like JANM, Oakland Museum of CA, Worcester Art Museum, and Honolulu Museum of Art. I’ve also worked on editorial content for different outlets, but there’s nothing better than exploring the coolest parts of Asian Popular Culture. In the near future, myself and a new team will be centralizing our editorial efforts into a new entity — Giant Robot Media.

In doing this, I had to think about what makes Giant Robot, GIANT ROBOT, and I came up with two key components: it’s indie ethos combined with the celebration of the Underdog. Stories and topics like these are timeless and inspiring, and I’m as excited as ever to conduct interviews, take photos, and document it all.

I’m unsure where this work lead, but I hope you’ll enjoy the ride. Visit giantrobot.media and be ready for an occasional issue in print.

Stoked to see this. I miss the physical magazine a lot. however I will be happy to see the return of GR.

Great to hear! I have to admit that I miss the print editions. It was always such a thrill to find a new one in my mailbox.

This is a great idea! E-zine is just fine with me. No need for print.
