Giant Robot 2 gallery welcomes back Mike Lee who is on a tear creating new works in acrylic in various sizes. Mike Lee graduated from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles and current lives on the East Coast working in animation.
This current body of work is focused on love. Expanding on the emotional themes from my last solo show, Repose, I wanted to give form to the elusive feelings of ambiguity, reliance, longing, and hope. This past year I have felt a great sense of uncertainty, both in my interior life and in the world around me. My paintings are a reaction to and exploration of the range of emotions I have observed and experienced as I navigate daily life.
