Splinters and Thread: A Solo Exhibition by Erick Martinez Opens at GR2

Los Angeles, CA — July 30, 2025 — Giant Robot is proud to present “Splinters and Thread,” a solo exhibition by artist Erick Martinez, running from August 2nd through August 19th at GR2 Gallery, located at 2062 Sawtelle Blvd, Los Angeles, CA.

In Splinters and Thread, Martinez brings his signature hand-crafted wooden figures blending folk art and pop culture. Robots, TV sets, ancient idols, and animated characters intersect in this artistic collection.

The exhibition launches with an online art release and virtual tour on Saturday, August 2nd at 12 PM (Noon) via www.gr2.net. The gallery will open in-person at 1 PM, followed by a reception from 6–9 PM.
