Under the Sea 2025: An Underwater Themed Art Exhibition, on view from September 6 through September 21

This striking blue-toned illustration by artist Mary Ainza depicts a deep-sea diver entangled in an otherworldly underwater scene. The diver, wearing a vintage helmet and suit, is surrounded by swirling currents, marine life, and intricate organic forms that suggest both movement and mystery beneath the ocean’s surface. The bold use of indigo and white creates a sense of depth and flow, while the detailed linework draws the eye across the composition. Ainza’s work captures the tension between human exploration and the vast, untamed energy of the sea, blending wonder, danger, and beauty into a single dynamic image.

Giant Robot is proud to present Under the Sea 2025: An Underwater Themed Art Exhibition, on view from September 6 through September 21 at the Giant Robot Store in West Los Angeles.

This exhibition features works by a wide range of artists, each creating new pieces inspired by the mysteries and beauty of the ocean. Visitors can experience an array of styles and interpretations, all connected by the theme of life under the sea.

A live Instagram tour will be hosted by curator Cassia Lupo on the Giant Robot Store account on Saturday, September 6, at 11:00 AM Pacific Time. Artworks will also be available online the same day.

The Giant Robot Store is located at 2015 Sawtelle Boulevard, West Los Angeles, and is open from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM daily, except Mondays when it is closed. Concurrent exhibitions will also be on view at GR2.
