Giant Robot is proud to present Katsuya Terada – LIVE DIGITAL Demo, Signing and Print Release Sunday October 20th 3pm at Giant Robot 2 Katsuya Terada will be showing original works at Giant Robot 2 for his exhibition of Hot Pot Girls. Yet on Sunday, he’ll demonstrate his work with the tablet. Projected on screen, you’ll be able to see how Terada develops his imagery from beginning to end. Feel free to ask questions while he’s drawing. We’ll have a translator present. Katsuya Terada will also sign books and we’ll have an exclusive 5×7 size print available for sale on Sunday. It’s something new that Toyota is teaming up with Hatsune Miku, the huge pop idol that’s actually a virtual star. It’s straight up on their Toyota Corolla site. Does this mean you can buy a show room ready car wrapped Toyota? Probably not, but you will see ads and more. Take a look at the video commercial.What’s with the voice over, it’s a non match. But the concept and ideas of integrating the “Vocaloid” star of Japan into something here is something cutting edge – especially since Miku is still relatively unknown here.
