It seems that China’s winning, but mostly because they’re the only country that can still afford to have an active space program. In June they sent a 3 person crew into orbit, including Liu Yang the first Chinese woman in space, to prep for a space station. Remember when we used to do stuff like that? They say they’ll have a space station, and plan to land on the Moon (and Mars) in the near future. It could happen.
The orbit ended on the 29th, after 13 days in orbit. The crew touched down in Inner Mongolia’s not so Autonomous region. The crew hung out in folding chairs as they got their Earth legs back again.
