Ryan McGinness art for any of your NYers. It never fails, Ryan will send me a roll tube of exhibition posters that are signed. I give them away to people around if there’s enough, and that’s a really nice thing to be able to do. I’ve known him for a bunch of years, and it’s great to see him. At times, he’s super busines savvy, at other times, he’s a practical joker. Take a look at the link, and you’ll see how this man is progressing as an artist. His small artist days are way behind him, and he’s pretty much on his own road away from the group shows. The bad thing is, it gets harder and harder to do a project with him, and for him, that’s actually a great thing. See his show at Pace.

Yeah, it could use some more punch or highlighting. But oh well, it’s a museum site. Hope the banner out front looks nice and brings people in. Take a look at the JANM site.

West Hollywood book fair today, Michelle is handling a table with David Horvath signing from 1-3. Let’s hope it goes well. Deadlines. It just keeps going. What do we do when a magazine is weeks late? I guess we just work it out till it gets done. But it’s the latest in a while. Keep your seat belts on. Issue 50 is pretty much sold out, so our printer better hurry. Broken ipod 3g. All of a sudden the Apple logo won’t go away until the battery dies, but then still nothing happens after I plug it in, the Apple logo comes back up, I’ve read the stuff online and well, I guess next stop: Genius Bar. It’s sunday, a nice day out, and yesterday I wrote about a lizard. Big deal, but I do wonder, is there something you want me to explain, perhaps about GR, work, etc? Issue 50 was supposed to have a forum or something where we’d answer some questions, but it didn’t happen. I can do it here for you.

I’ve finally made it back to NYC! After leaving on such a sour note with the broken leg in July, I’m stoked to be walking around New York again. This time I’m here to attend the Chivas Regal party which will be held on Friday at the NY Public Library. Any chance to come back to NYC is fine with me.These little figures are all along the wall of the Prince St. subway. This Chinese can collector I spotted right away. The lesser known Thai version of Chinese connection being filmed betwen this fence?Hooked up with Jeff Staple and Dan The Automator for a reunion, over a meal of course. This time we went to Otto’s for some pizza and pasta. Not quite as special as the secret beef place but good eats nonetheless.Egg pizza rocked the house.Clam pizza, complicated but good.On the walk home from Otto’s, I saw this at a bodega and had to buy it. WTF? I’m going to have to dedicate an entire blog to this thing once I finish reading it.

Where does the GR branded goods go? Who gets them? We never know until we see them in peculiar places. For example: This teen earns millions designing myspace pages as seen on CNN. I guess while some cool folks wear t shirts created by streetwear brands, our stuff goes to the nerds who design myspace pages. It also goes on the backs of film directors.
