Giant Robot Store and GR2 News
I can only type a few thoughts since it was a day that began at 10am, and lasted until after 9pm. It's not the longest of days, but it's a day, that took a lot of energy, running around trying to set up a booth, but then at the same time, trying to figure out the tiniest logistics that'll affect other things in larger ways later. Know what I mean? We were tired and we didn't get to eat from the AM until 10pm. That might have hurt us more. Either way, the guy above is the first to purchase the entire Big Boss Robot set. The San Diego trolley signs are in Klingon and that can mean only one thing: the Comic-Con has begun. Setting up for preview night is always hectic, but the crew got it together with plenty of time (and not much help from me). Not all Pinoys listen to disco and dance music. Take Flattbush, the leftist thrash crew I interviewed for Giant Robot way back in Giant Robot 45. At Sunday's One Day as a Lion show, I ran into Armon and (honorary Filipino) Joe. Great to see them, almost a year to the date that they totally ripped at our Comic-Con party (pic above). The good news is that the Bellflower band is almost ready to drop a new album on your capitalist, cake-eating ass! OTOMATIK ATTAK! is executive produced by Faith No More's Billy freaking Gould and released on his Koolarrow record label, and home of fellow GR alum Brujeria.
