It’s a scary fact in China, that although you could be an adult male, you might have parents who bought you. A baby boy can be bought for $15,000 and could be a kidnapped child. A recent sting yielded 89 babies and 355 arrests and a question… can they even trace where each baby came from? “the Chinese government says that 10,000 children are kidnapped each year, but some experts suggest the number may be as high as 70,000.” (NY Times - Abduction)
