From “Kiddy Table to the Adult Table”, Asian Americans have spending power. The segment features Julia Huang who mentions Asian Americans are segmented. Yes “we” are and that means needing many different campaigns for each group, which then means companies need to spend more to figure out how to reach all of Asian America. The Asian American market has been looked at for about a decade as being heavily important as compared to the size of the population due to the spending power. The move also looks like it’s a tiny step from in-language work to the general market. With a thousand TV stations in English with just a few which are Asian language based, it’s obvious where the marketing money must go. The link includes a video segment about it for the BBC! The bad boy who ruined the careers of many, apparently has the golden ticket. He gets to reappear and do work in the exact place where it was said that the triad fathers of some of the starlets would kill him, make him eat feces and so forth, but apparently he’s either dead, ate it or just has weathered the test of time. He’s back. TV won’t let him back on yet, so the ad is just online, but there he is. This has been online for a few days, and it’s still the only photo that we’ve seen of Obama’s Fried Chicken. Is it really a a chicken place, or just a cheap cloth banner art project? We don’t know and it seems like no one knows as it’s just this one photo circulating on the web. Maybe it’s Chinese graf doing it’s job. Why not shoot just a little lower and show more?
