Lone Wolf and Cub acquired. Yes, is the lead going to be DeNiro? Will it be whitewashed? We hope not, but most likely it’ll end up being a dark haired non Asian. Perhaps it’ll be a half Asian. That said, Kotaku then published something funny. Not all films are whitewashed! They provide some examples. Plenty of it is classic Americana crap, and it’s mostly old. Oh well, we’ll see what happens to this classic manga and movies. Will this be an action packed samurai movie?

The Emperor of Japan’s speech gets cut down or censored. The offending lines look simple. “As this earthquake and tsunami caused the nuclear power plant accident, those living in areas designated as the danger zone lost their homes and livelihoods and had to leave the places they used to live. In order for them to live there again safely, we have to overcome the problem of radioactive contamination, which is a formidable task.” But the lines also point out that work needs to continue and the nuclear accident is still not complete as somewhat reported. Jeremy Lin met with the writer of the infamous Chink headline. Anthony Fedrico who was fired by ESPN. He’s 28. Although he’s perfectly capable of writing headlines at that age, he’s still a kid who should know better. They finally met up. “We talked more about matters of faith [and] reconciliation. We talked about our shared Christian values and what we’re both trying do with this situation . . . We didn’t talk about the headline for more than three minutes.”
