“Oh no…” they’re thinking, the NBA is going to start and the folks who thought of leaving are now unable to come back. Their families, friends, and ex teammates will be playing ball on the networks and getting new endorsements, meanwhile they’re in China trying to do the same and getting acclimated to their new lives and new foods, and… no friends. They’re having mixed results, but it’s great to see that Wilson Chandler, a player that’s either underrated in the NBA or misunderstood is having a kick ass year so far averaging 32 points a game. Stephan Marbury an already well liked player in China has found a new home. It looks like the players who are there this season, are there. (WSJ – NBA Players in China)

I just finished watching two more revenge-themed movies from Hong Kong. One happens to feature my friend Daniel Wu. The other was produced by my pals Conroy Chan and Josie Ho.
It’s 19 minutes long, and it’s filled with his crazy ideas of what may come in the future. Internet in your contact lens, cars driving by itself, communication and maybe robot controls by a paralyzed person… there’s more. Michio Kaku has written books on theoretical physics, and is a professor at City College of New York. (NPR – Michio Kaku)

The story is of legend. A feudal lord is forced to commit suicide, and his 47 loyal followers go out to kill his killer, and after they’re done, they commit ritual suicide. It’s now turning into a 3d movie with dude, Keanu Reeves, a half Asian. How he fits as a Japanese person, we can’t understand yet, hopefully the film will deliver even 50% of what it should (get it?). Here’s some photos from the set. (Screenrant – 47)
