It’s a sad day for the dog meat fans in Korea. The festival is cancelled. There’s more to the festival that the fantastic idea of dog eating. There’s cosmetics and more that use dog product. “… there are about 600 farms raising dogs for meat in South Korea, where their meat has long been eaten and dog soup, or Boshintang, is a summer delicacy.” Either way, dog fans around the world would make this the butt of jokes for decades more. It’s not like there’s enough dog eating jokes, and a festival that glorifies the wonders of eating the brothers of our best friends, just won’t fly. (Google hosted news – Dogtown)

This freaks us out and the photo does as well. A cast of elder ex engineers and more are interested in helping out the Fukushima plant in Japan. Yes, they’re older and a dose of radiation might not hurt their chances of having more “normal” kids, yet, this is what it’s coming to. Amidst the slowly lessening news of the leaking reactors, yes, there’s new news of that today, and the general cleanup images, the problem persists enough for things to come to retirees feeling the need to help. This is a breaking story, and the details are still unfolding and not entirely clear. But two lawyers for 1-800-LAW-FIRM in Detroit have sued Lady Gaga, alleging that the pop diva has defrauded fans and diverted funds intended for Japan disaster relief through the sale of special rubber wristbands intended to raise money for charity. The heart of the legal action is the lawyers’ questions about how much of the money charged for the sale of each wristband, which includes the $5.00 item cost, 60 cents tax and $3.99 shipping, actually goes to disaster victims in Japan. The lawyers, Ari Kresh and Alyson Oliver, allege that the shipping charges are inflated, and Lady Gaga is pocketing excess funds which should be going to Japanese charities. We’re going to keep an eye on this story, and bring you more details as they become available. Frankly, we’re skeptical of the lawyers’ claims, but we’ll be watching this case with a fair and objective eye. (The Sun UK – Lady Gaga Sued Over Japan Funds) Japan Probe has a video of this news story from a Detroit TV station – Lady Gaga TV Report.
