Carp is crap? Think again. Are people really going to eat this in the US? Yes, Asians will. But guess what? There’s too many and now some will get sold to Chinese companies as a frozen delicacy. It’s a fish that most don’t want to eat here, but it’s completely natural, unfarmed, unhormoned, and fed on nature. One person’s trash is another’s treasure. These fish are considered high end. Imagine that big stew with pieces of the luscious carp below. (msnbc – Carp)

AB 376 – That’s the law that was signed by Governor Jerry Brown and will ban shark fin sales in California which means shark fins will be off the menu at your high end Chinese restaurant. Most of the soups look like the left photo, which might have shark fin shaved so thin that you can’t taste it. What’s the point of that? NY Times writes about West Coast coffee style. The pour over. It’s been here and yes it’s about Hario brand glassware that makes your morning coffee that much better. Thinking about that espresso machine, grinder, and all that gear? Forget it. Just keep it simple. If you’re going to drink it every day, you might as well make it right. You can go all manual for about $100. It’s too bad they mention Williams Sonoma as the place to get everything. Perhaps they’re a big advertiser in the NY Times, but there are plenty of places to order it online. Just do a search and you’ll probably find a better rate. If not get it locally. Support the shop that carries it. (NY Times – Hario)

This has been online for a few days, and it’s still the only photo that we’ve seen of Obama’s Fried Chicken. Is it really a a chicken place, or just a cheap cloth banner art project? We don’t know and it seems like no one knows as it’s just this one photo circulating on the web. Maybe it’s Chinese graf doing it’s job. Why not shoot just a little lower and show more? Here today, gone tomorrow. But that would make a funny T shirt. Anyone? Is this the best Obama they could find?!!
